Doulas are non-medical birth professionals who work to assist community members through all aspects of pregnancy, birth, and navigating reproductive options. This training certifies professionals to help clients be empowered in whatever choice is right for them, all while centering those often erased by other doula programs—survivors of trauma, BIPOC, and LGBTQ clients. With movements like #ChurchToo bringing awareness to the breadth of trauma in faith spaces today, there’s a vital need for customized training for clergy on trauma’s impacts and implications. Participants leave with actionable tools for providing pastoral care to survivors, restorative practice frameworks for communities impacted by interpersonal violence, and resources for prevention.
